Good morning !!!

How are you ? I'm fine ! Today, I will talk about my trip in Berlin. It was from 13rd April to 20th April. I left Rennes at around 7:00 p.m. I travel by bus ... It was a very long trip (22 hours  !!!), I didn't sleep a lot...

On Saturday afternoon (4:00 p.m.), I arrived in Tegel, next to Berlin. I went to Alessandra's house (my pen friend) and I slept a bit .  I went cycling with Phillip (Alessandra's brother), Katharina (Alessandra's sister), Alessandra and her mother.  Later I ate ... It was strange because in Germany, people have dinner early !!! Next, I watched programs on TV (like The Voice in France)... I understood nothing but people sang very well  !!

On Sunday, I ate breakfast ( bacon, eggs, cheese, apple juice with water, marmelade, butter..).  I visited the town center of Berlin

It was very beautiful !! People sang, danced ...                                                 I didn't take lunch but I ate ice-cream !!!

On Monday, I arrived at 8:00 a.m. to Alessandra's school : Gymnasium Gabriele Von Bülow. I discovered Bernauerstrasse ( The Berlin Wall). There were many drawings :

I saw East Side Gallery and Postdammer Platz where I ate.

On Monday afternoon, I visited the Reichstag (the dome) :

It was very interesting !  

Then, I came back and I have dinner at 5:30 p.m. !!!

On Tuesday, I discovered the Olympic Stadium !! It was enormous !

I saw Charlottenburg castle :

The Holocaust Memorial

On Wednesday, I discovered the concentration camp of Ravensbruck ... Very touching ! Next, I went to Rheinsberg Castle.

On Thursday, I went to Cecilienhof castle :  

I visited Sans-Souci Castle :

On Thursday evening, French people and German  people played bowling, it was very nice !!

And .. the last day ...

I went to the Kurfürstendamm to go shopping and the afternoon, I staid with Alessandra in her house. I left at 5:00 p.m. ...

It was a very interesting and nice trip, I want to return in Berlin to see my pen friend ...

My work experience with a surgeon

My name's Alice Valeau and I am 14 years old. I study Biology, Maths and Physics in Assomption High school, in Rennes .

From the 02/20/2013 to the 02/22/2013 I worked as a trainee in a private hospital called Clinic St Laurent .I worked there for 3 days .The clinic was located in Rennes in France . Every morning, I arrived at about 8.00am and I usually left at 16.00pm . My tutor  was a lung and hearth surgeon. There were 6 employees in the operation theater with the surgeon. During this work placement, I saw operations , I liked the good atmosphere during operations... I was very lucky because I also could go with a cardiologist during 2 hours where I could see consultations. I find that it was very interesting and I enjoyed this work-experience, I learnt a lot of things. and I would like to thank Mr. de Latour my tutor, patients that were very nice with me and all doctors that were really friendly. And of course all the teachers of my school for what they did for me.

Before my work-experience, I wanted to be a doctor and now I want to be a doctor. And, why not a surgeon ?
